About Bluehaus Photography

I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would spend hours drawing, collecting rocks, sticks and acorns, making clothes for my dolls and painting absolutely anything that would sit still. Now I spend more time at the computer than I do drawing and painting, but my nature collections (rocks, shells and feathers) are still a point of pride.
My lifelong love for art and design led me to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Louisiana Tech University. For more than 20 years I have worked as an award-winning art director and graphic designer in the fields of advertising, print and magazine publishing. One of the most interesting parts of my job as an art director has been working with photographers to create images that my clients use to tell their story or sell their products. I was inspired to pick up my camera after years of being on set watching and learning from some of the most amazingly talented photographers from across the country. |
It’s been eight years since I started shooting and I am still in love with photography and its magical ability to stop time and tell a compete story with just a few carefully edited images.
Bluehaus Photography offers candid, editorial style photography for couples, families, children, seniors and also offers commercial headshots, portraits and product photography. I shoot on location and use natural light to create modern images with a classic, timeless appeal. When I’m not shooting, editing or designing, you can find me trying to be culinary in the kitchen or spending time outside with my two daughters and husband. I also have a terrible weakness for rescuing roadside junk with every intention of someday making it fabulous. Session Information

I look forward to working with you to plan a memorable shoot. Each session includes emails and phone calls to arrange details, schedule shooting time and discuss wardrobe and props that might be used. The images created during our shoot will be carefully edited and retouched and will be provided to you on a flash drive with full rights for reproduction.
When shooting outdoors, sessions times are available in the morning (before 8am) and late afternoon/early evening (1-3 hours before sunset). I use natural light and know from experience that shooting during these ‘golden hours’ yields the most pleasing results. Session times are more flexible when shooting in your home or other indoor location. |
A $100 non-refundable payment is due at the time of booking to secure your session. The balance is due at the time of your session. Credit card, check and cash payments are accepted. There is a 72 hour (3-day) cancellation/rescheduling notice. Your deposit will be transferred (one time only) to a new date within 3 months. In the event of sickness or an emergency, please contact me immediately. I observe the weather carefully in the days leading up to a shoot and it looks iffy, I will contact you within 24 hours prior to the session to reschedule.
Please allow seven business days for editing and retouching of your images. Images can be delivered by USPS on flash drive (2-4 business days to arrive) and/or online. |

Full Session $450*
The perfect options for families, children, engagement or maternity shoots. One hour of shooting time on location for up to 5 family members, each additional person is $20. Includes 25–30 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Mini Session $225* A great option for birthdays, holidays or other milestones. 30–45 minutes of shooting time on location for up to 4 family members, each additional person is $20. Includes 10–15 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Newborn Session $550* Newborn sessions should take place within the first two weeks of baby’s birth. Three to four hours of shooting time at your home. This allows time for feedings and comforting between poses. Baby’s parents are included, each additional person is $20. Includes 30–45 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Simple Senior Session $350* 45 minutes of shooting time at the location of your choice and includes one outfit change. Includes 15–20 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. |
Senior Session with Stylist $675*
This senior session begins with our professional stylist doing your hair and makeup so you will look your most glamorous. Shooting time is approximately one and a half hours at the location of your choice and includes two outfit changes. Includes 30-45 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Party / Event Photography $525* One hour of shooting at your party or event location. Includes 100+ edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Business Portraits / Headshots $125* 30 minutes of shooting time at the location of your choice. Includes 5 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. Pet Session $150* 30–45 minutes of shooting time on location for one pet, each additional pet is $20. Includes 10-15 carefully edited and retouched images in color and black + white. High resolution images provided on flash drive with image reproduction rights. *Tax and shipping not included in session prices. Travel fee applies for locations 30 miles outside of Austin, TX. Due to the nature of custom photography, all sales are final. |
